Viola Fuchs Obituary

Viola Lillian Lueck Fuchs, of Denton, TX, passed away on January 19, 2013, at the age of 91. She was born January 7, 1922, in Bismarck, ND, to August Bernhard Lueck and Adela Mathilda Mehl Lueck. She married Louis H. Fuchs Jr. in 1943 and resided in Downers Grove, IL, until she moved to Denton in 2003. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Bernard Lueck. She is survived by two daughters, Jannon Fuchs and husband Harris Schwark of Denton, and Elaine Fuchs and husband David Hansen, of New York City, and by her grandchildren Jeremy, Matthew and Amanda Schwark. Viola was formerly employed by J.C. Penney and Montgomery Ward, and participated in Girl Scout leadership. She was an avid gardener, seamstress, homemaker, and student of nature, as well as a talented artist who loved painting and a variety of crafts. She enjoyed traveling, music, reading, and chocolate. She delighted in making people smile and will be greatly missed. Viola will be buried alongside her husband in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL.
