Thomas M. Jansky, 83, of Bonita Springs, Florida, formerly of Hinsdale, Illinois, passed away on August 14, 2017 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

He was born to Thomas M. and Edna (Staack) Jansky on December 13, 1933 in Berwyn, Illinois.

Tom, along with his brother Richard, owned and operated the Berwyn Ace Hardware for 35 years. He was a graduate of Western Military Academy and Knox college. Tom also served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. He was a member and past president of the Berwyn Rotary and served on the Board of Directors of Harris Bank. He was a life member of the Lyonsville Congregational Church. Tom loved to golf, play bocce, and spend time with friends.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol Anne; daughters, Laura (Perry) Poad of Downers Grove, IL and Arlynn Jansky, Winchester, Tennessee; sister, Edna Dahlgren of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Richard (Barbara) Jansky of Estero, Florida; and brother in law, Edward Rubinic of Bonita Springs, Florida and Warren (Doris) Boehm. Granddaughters Jessica and Jennifer Poad and Sara Jansky; step daughters, Lisa (Tim) Dantzer, Ft Wayne Indiana and Laura (Mike) Rowe, Waterloo, Indiana; step grandsons, Hayden Rowe, Justin and Jacob Dantzer.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Arlene (Boehm); sister, Ruth (Rubinic); and brother in law, Otto Dahlgren.

Graveside service will be at the Lyonsville Cemetary, Indian Head Park, Illinois on September 9, 2217 at 1:00 PM.
