Thomas Allen Eckhardt, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois. He was born June 12, 1944, to the late Frederick and Doris Eckhardt of Wheaton, Illinois.

Tom was the beloved husband of Sandy (Coats) Eckhardt whom he married March 25, 1972. He is also survived by his only brother, Fritz Eckhardt and his wife, Helen of Little River, South Carolina; his nephew, Christopher and his wife, Andrea of Wake Forest, North Carolina; and his niece, Melissa Eckhardt Murphy and her husband, Tom of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

Tom attended Wheaton schools, and was a graduate of the University of Wyoming where he earned the Juris Doctor degree. He was self-employed while practicing law in Glen Ellyn for over forty years. Tom was active in the Naperville Heritage Society serving as its vice president and chairman of the Heritage Antiques Show. Among Tom's interests were fishing, photography, and showing/breeding his Scottish Terriers.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
