TED HARRIS MITCHELL Ted Harris Mitchell, age 79, passed away in his home August 13, 2013, surrounded by family. Born on April 19, 1934 in Geneva, Illinois, and attended Geneva High School, where his father was the principal. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Pauline, nee Randall; eldest son of the late Philip S. (the late Hazel L.) Mitchell; devoted father of Steve (Kathy), Phil (Mary), Ann, Martha, and Katie (Matt) Slayter; brother to the late Jon Mitchell. Missed by his 14 grandchildren, Jessica, Dan, Joe, Mary Grace, Robb, Sam, Vincent, George, Parker, Andy, Chapin, Shannon, Rex, and Claudia. Beloved American History teacher at Glenbard East High School in Lombard (1961-1989). Smart, strong, and loving man with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
