Steven Olijar Obituary

STEVEN G. OLIJAR Steven G. Olijar, age 58, of Roach, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. He was born August 9, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, a son of George and Dorothy Gross Olijar. On July 28, 1979, in West Chicago, he was united in marriage to his surviving wife, Barbara Harris Olijar. Steven was employed by DuPage County Public Works in Illinois and retired as maintenance manager after 28 years. He loved the outdoors spending time fishing, boating and riding snow mobiles and ATVs. He was also a handyman, fixing and building anything he desired. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his sons, Scott Olijar and wife, Jen of Gardner, Illinois and Drew Olijar and wife, Ariel of Joliet, Illinois; grandsons, Payton Olijar and due to be born August 25th, Nathaniel Olijar; parents, George and Dorothy Olijar of Shorewood, Illinois; brothers, David Olijar of Courtland, Illinois, John Olijar of Plainfield, Illinois and Matt Olijar and wife Carol of Shorewood, Illinois; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Michael Redcloud. A celebration of Steven 's life was held in Lisle, Illinois.
