Shirley J. Jan, 91 of Riverside, passed away August 28, 2017.
Beloved wife of the late Edward; cherished mother of Cynthia (Jack) Teel, Kenneth Hillmer, Melinda (George Vanovich) Hillmer, the late Cary (Colleen Skelton) Jan and Jodi (Darren) Jan Larson; loving grandmother of the late James (Lorraine) Teel, Robert (Kimberly) Teel, Kevin (Maureen) Hillmer-Pegram, Alex Jan, Sharon (Rolando) Moreira, Shawn Jan and Margaret Ann Jan; dear great-grandmother of Isabella, Cecillia, Flora and Leila; fond sister of Louis (Bernadine Livingston) Krueger; aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Shirley enjoyed quilting and hosting her family and friends. She especially enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family. Shirley volunteered at MacNeal Hospital for over 30 years. She was active in the Salt Creek Quilt Guild and her church.
A visitation was held Friday, September 1, 2017, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 400 Nuttal Road, Riverside, IL with a service that began at 1:00 PM. Entombment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church.
