Robert Olp Obituary
Robert "Bob" Olp, 95, of Lisle, formerly of Downers Grove, IL passed away December 31, 2021. Preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Roberta "Bobbie" Knaus and his son, David. Survived by children Thomas Olp (Ellen), Theresa McDonald (Kevin), Rose Case (John), Kathy Carqueville, Amy Miller (Greg), Debra Gillespie (Chris), Daniel Olp (Celeste), Rebecca Hughes, Kenneth Olp (Libby), Gordon Olp, 32 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren. Robert was a veteran of WWII Army Air Corp. He retired from Argonne National Lab in the Department of Energy Nuclear Power Research Program and owned Connor-Winfield Corporation, Aurora, IL. Funeral Mass Saturday, January 22, 10 am at St. Mary of Gostyn Church, Downers Grove. Interment is private. See www.FriedrichJones.com for full obituary.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the Olp clan. As I read your dad´s obituary, a memory of troop 89 popped into my head: that of my dad, Jim Groble, your dad, and I think Leonard Sirowski´s dad standing with the St. Mary´s Boy Scouts. The photo appeared in one of local papers, and my mom had cut it out. May his memory be for a blessing.
