It is with great sadness we announce that ROBERT D COMSTOCK passed away at age 91.
Son of Leonard and Harriet Comstock, La Grange resident 60 years. Sister Catherine Hall, Sandy Browning, brothers Gordon, Howard, David, and Allen. Children John, Gary, first wife Joan Kirby. Second wife Dee Larson children Steve and Lynn. Robert married Barbara Louise Wilken Buretz in 1987; her children are Tommy, Kathie, and Martha. 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren.
Comstock tip to remember. You will never appreciate the security and love received from your parents and sibling until you're off on your own and trying to give the same things to your children.
Robert was in the Air Force. Owner of Comstock Excavating for 45 years. First big job was, digging the basement at La Grange Bible Church. Member of the old Lyonsville Congregational Church on Joliet Road in Indian Head Park. Robert was past president of the La Grange Highlands Loins Club 1972-1973. Enjoyed car races, Blackhawks and Cubs games. Going to Daytona with his brother Gordon and sons. Blackhawks season pass in Chicago and enjoyed Florida games with his son John. Florida resident for 30 years.
Memorial service on Saturday, May 27 11:30 at La Grange Highlands Presbyterian Church, 1902 West 59" Street.
