Mildred Benak Obituary

Mildred Jean Benak (nee Siml) "Millie," 89, of Boca Raton passed away on January 31, 2011. Retired in Florida for 22 years, Millie and her late husband, Jim, owned and operated J. Benak Service, Inc. for over 40 years in the Chicago suburb of Western Springs. For the last many years, Millie was an active member of St Jude Catholic Church in Boca Raton, attending Mass and volunteering daily including singing in the choir, Eucharistic ministry and visiting nursing homes with Father Richard. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years James, cherished father of Frank (Mary) of Ft. Myers, George (Mary Jo) of Western Springs, IL and Rose Robinson of Boca Raton, FL; adored grandmother of John (Celeste), Jim (Kim) and Brian (Erin) Benak, Robert and Jamie Benak and Adam (Carolina), Sara and Vincent Robinson; dearest great-grandmother of Nicholas, Grace, James, Reese and Leah Benak. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 21689 Toledo Road, Boca Raton. Burial will follow at the Boca Raton Cemetery. To honor her memory, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations to St Jude Catholic Church/Fr. Richard's Pastoral Care Program.
