Michael Franklin Wild, age 59, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ. He was born August 25, 1964 in Naperville, IL to Leo and Sandra (nee Sinnick) Wild. He was a 1982 graduate of Downers Grove South High School.
He moved to Sun City West, AZ in 1997. Michael truly enjoyed sports of all kind, football, hockey, but baseball was his overwhelming favorite. He and his friends would go to every spring training practice and game they could and they enjoyed the fall league too. He could tell you various statistics from current and retired players on a whim. Michael was an avid and hopeful Chicago Cubs fan and loved the Philadelphia Phillies as well. While he will be sorely missed, we know he is with us as an angel in the outfield during the Chicago Cubs games.
He is survived by his parents, Leo and Sandra (nee Sinnick) Wild, his brother, John (Susan) Wild of Bolingbrook, IL, his sisters Lea Anne Frost (Tom Koenig) of Chicago, IL, and Elizabeth (Michael) Ryniec of Bartlett, IL, along with five nephews and one niece, James (Kristen) Frost, Christopher (Lia) Wild, Carl (Juliana Giacopelli) Wild, Gabriella Frost, Aaron Ryniec, and Daniel Ryniec and two great nieces, Cailey and Chayce Wild.
A celebration of life will be held at Sunland Memorial Park, Mortuary & Crematory at 15826 North Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ on April 25, 2024 from 11:00AM-2:00PM. His burial will take place in Illinois with arrangements forthcoming.
