Marlis E. Rentsch

Marlis E. Rentsch, 91, longtime resident of Elmhurst. Beloved wife of the late Hans H. Rentsch; loving mother of Christian (Cindy) Rentsch, Stefan (Janet) Rentsch and Katrin (Dave Dickow) Rentsch; grandmother of Caylie and Chelsea, Christopher (MaryBeth), Brian (Kim), Eric (Alicia) and Andrew (Kate) and Ben (Laurel) and Heather (Robert); great grandmother of Alyssa, Evan, Asher, Owen, Campbell, Lily and Lucy; sister of Rosemarie Langen and Doris Wahl; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Marlis emigrated from Essen, Germany with her husband and children in 1961 raised her family in Elmhurst. Marlis retired after 18 years as a nurse at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. She volunteered at the hospital for 15 years after her retirement.

Services and Interment Private.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials will be appreciated for Elmhurst Memorial Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
