Devoted Man to Family and Work and Faith. He was a special guest of us all. The Mayflower, John behind the grill and his wife and children by his side, smiling and spinning, grill to register, with time for kind words; that was "John" and the memory we and Bethlehem are much better for having. Thank You and may God grant the rest of the Gentis family, strength and peace, to bear with this.

To the Gentis Family....
Words cannot describe how we feel about your loss. John was a very devoted, kind, loving, and unselfish person. We watched the kids grow....and Oh how proud he was of them. The past 3 years...He made a point of walking by our place and stopping in when he knew we were home. He will be sadly missed.
There was a verse sent to me ten years ago, when my father passed away, that I would like to share with you. "We can't know why sad things happen....we can only know that, in time, the pain will go away...and in its place, the beautiful and special memories, the keepsakes of the heart, will always remain." I hope you can find comfort in these words, as I did.
Our Sympathy, thoughts, and prayers are with all of you. John was an outstanding person.

It was with great saddness that I read today of John's passing. My husband, son and I enjoyed the great breakfasts at the Mayflower for many years. When we first started coming my son was an infant and we would put his carrier on the table as we ate. Over the years John would always comment on how he was growing, he is now 18. We also enjoyed watching his children grow from youngsters to successful adults. Our deepest sympathy to his wife, sons and daughter. He will be missed.

We are so deeply upset. Our naive optimism kept us from thinking this time would come. Our time with John was to limited in recent years. Reflecting on better times, we will remember John's smile, contagious humor and love for family, friends and life. Rest loved one. You will be remembered.
