Helen F. Zulas (nee Florian) at rest on November 4, 2014, at her home in Westmont. She was the dear wife for 50 years of Jim Zulas, who preceded her in death on August 18, 1993. Helen was a lifelong resident of Westmont, born there on July 8, 1923. She attended North School, Central School and graduated from Downers Grove North High School.
Jim and Helen raised four loving children, George (Dawn) Zulas, Patricia Brown, Ginger (Michael) Kenig and Jo-Ellen (Scott) Douglas; seven dear grandchildren, George & Tom Zulas, David (Shawna) Brown, Mike (Katie) Kenig, Todd Kenig, Mary & Renee Douglas; and four great grandchildren, Isabella Zulas, Carter & Sydney Brown and Kinsi Kenig.
Helen was lovingly cared for by her caregiver, Jenny for several months.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Georgiann Sedivy; and one brother, Joseph Florian.
Helen loved to travel having visited all 50 states, 9 provinces and 8 countries.
Visitation was held at West Suburban Funeral Home & Cremation Services 39 N. Cass Ave., Westmont on Friday, November 7. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, at West Suburban Funeral Home followed by graveside services at her final resting place, beside Jim, at Clarendon Hills Cemetery.

I met Helen and her girls thru a Czech class we were in. She always had a smile. Condolences to the family on loss of their mom and grandma.

I only knew Babi a short time, but I'm so glad I was able to have the time with her I did. She was such an important part of her family's lives and I got to be a little part of it. David and I were married at her house and it was a blessing to have her there. I wish I could have known her a lot longer. My deepest sympathies and forever love to the family. I love you all.
