Helen Duncan, nee Gatz, age 96; beloved wife of the late Donald M. Duncan; loving mother of Donna Marie (Michael) Pecherek, the late James C. (Pat) Duncan, the late David J. (Carol) Duncan and the late Donald J. Duncan; cherished grandmother of Jennifer Gibson, Tracy Duncan, Scott Duncan, James C. Duncan II, Eran Duncan and Shawn Duncan; and great-grandmother of 13.
Visitation Wednesday, 3:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral Thursday, 9:15AM from Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St. (1 blk. So. of Ogden Ave.) Downers Grove to St. Mary of Gostyn Church. Mass 10:00 AM. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Masses at a Catholic Church are appreciated.

The Duncan family members were my next door neighbors from the age of 1 until I moved from home. Mrs. Duncan was one of the kindest people you could ever know, and her whole family too. The Karl family will miss her friendship (and raspberries that she graciously allowed the neighbor kids to "steal"). God bless the Duncan family, and Helen reuniting with her husband and sons in heaven must be glorious!

You were my second mom across the street. I will never forget the fond memories of summers in your backyard and baby sitting David, Jimmy and Donna.
How good you and Don were always to me.
Thank you for being a good friend to my mom for over 60 years.
We will meet again.
