Betty was a dear and true friend, and even though we ended up living miles apart, we still kept in touch and knew we cared for each other.

Betty Rae, forever "Mrs. Grimston" to me from my youth, was a very good soul. She was kind to me when I needed it most and I will never forget her for that. She was also a forgiving and good friend to my mother. She worked very hard her whole life, always to give and share whatever she had with her family and others. Over the years, her home was a safe place for a number of kids temporarily down on their luck. May she rest in peace in Scottish heaven with a good library book and her family, forever.
