Eleanor M. Tucker

Eleanor M. Tucker nee Stasell, age 96, of Elmhurst, formerly of Streator, Illinois.

Beloved wife of the late Harley Francis Tucker; mother of Harley James Tucker, John Richard Tucker and Sandra Kay Bodie; grandmother of the late Christopher John Tucker; great grandmother of Ethan Tucker and Noah Tucker; dear daughter of the late Henry and Mary Stasell; sister of the late Lester Stasell; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Longtime active member of Grace United Methodist Church, Streator, Illinois, and current member of First United Methodist Church, Elmhurst. She was also a lifetime member of the Illinois Education Association and active in her Local. Eleanor was also a lifetime member of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association and the Illinois Education Association-Retired.

Eleanor and her husband enjoyed many winters in Arizona, as well as playing cards with friends. She later moved to Lexington Square, Elmhurst, and was very active there.

Memorial Visitation at First United Methodist Church, 232 S. York St., Elmhurst from 9:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2014. An additional Memorial Service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at Lexington Square, in the JBR Room, 400 W. Butterfield Rd., Elmhurst. Interment 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator, IL.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials will be appreciated for First United Methodist Church.
