Eileen Clara (Tahsler) Bauderer, 86, of LaGrange Park, IL, formerly of Mansfield, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at her residence. She was born April 2, 1925 in Cleveland. Beloved daughter of Herbert and Margaret (Wentar) Tahsler and sister to Dorothy Tahsler Lynch. Her family relocated to Mansfield after her graduation from West High School in Cleveland. She worked as a secretary at Westinghouse Electric where she met her husband Joseph Bauderer. She was a homemaker for her husband and two daughters and they relocated many times during his 43 year career as an executive with Westinghouse. In addition to her family, her many interests included community service, handicrafts, and golf. Eileen was an avid bridge player, and skilled seamstress who enjoyed making clothes and needlepoint embroidered gifts for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. Eileen was a lifelong Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Indians fan. She and her husband Joe loved to dance. She will be rememberered for her extraordinary beauty, her wonderful sense of humor, and her sweet disposition. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Lou) Gioiella of Sylvania, Ohio, and Nancy (Robb) Knuepfer of Hinsdale, Illinois; grandchildren, Julie Van Cott, Joe Gioiella, Tony Gioiella, Stephen Gioiella, and Rob Knuepfer, Jenny Knuepfer, Lauren Knuepfer, and Joe Knuepfer; great grandchildren, Jack and Josh Van Cott, Lydia and Breena Gioiella, Ashton Gioiella, and Robert Knuepfer IV. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joseph James Bauderer in April 2005, and a sister, Dorothy Tashler Lynch. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 25, at 10 AM at Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Avenue West, conducted by Reverend Richard Beal, Senior Pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. There will also be a memorial service on Friday, August 26 at 10 AM in the Chapel at Bethelem Woods in LaGrange Park, Illinois conducted by Reverend Thomas Zoelzer, Senior Pastor of Union Church of Hinsdale.
