Died: April 30, 2021 in Naperville, IL
Doris Francis Westphal, age 93, a resident of Harbor Chase Assisted Living located in Naperville, IL, formerly of Glen Ellyn for 18 years, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at her residence. Doris was born December 4, 1927 in Chicago to the late Frank and Minie McNamer. She was an avid gardener and past president of the Villa Park Garden Club. Doris was an ardent fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs her entire life, having lived on the north side of Chicago in her earlier years. She is survived by her children, Nancy Nicholas, Scott Westphal (wife Lee), Bruce Westphal (wife Serena) and Pam Nestel; and cherished grandchildren Ryan Westphal (wife Heather), Evan Westphal (fiancée Lisa), Bradley Westphal and Trevor Westphal. She was predeceased by her brother Gilbert McNamer and sister Hilda May Savage. A private interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Salvation Army, 1S415 Summit Ave., Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 are appreciated.
