Debra Yell Obituary
Debra Ann Yell (nee Orndorff), 62, of Lyons, passed away on Christmas morning 2017, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Debra is survived by her mother, Shirley Orndorff; her brother, Carey (Sandy) Orndorff; her daughter, Christie (John) Kenny; and her Grandson, Braedon Kenny.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald M. Orndorff, and her husband, Glenn Yell.
Debra graduated from Lyons Township High School. Debra and her father owned the White Hen Pantry in Western Springs and Countryside, Illinois. Following, she was employed at Helping Hand Industries, and later, Garden Center Services. Debra was a devoted job coach and instructor. She took pride in her job and adored all of the people that she worked with. Debra also had a passion for animal welfare and rescued many pets over the years. She will be remembered by friends and family for her compassionate nature, delightful sense of humor, and her ability to love unconditionally.
Memorial service to take place in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center: 2160 S. First Ave. Maywood, IL 60153
