Christopher Paul Boike, age 54, of Berwyn, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, January 23, 2015. Christopher was born April 9, 1960, son of Paul and Marguerite Boike.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Kristine Becker Boike; his three daughters, Carrie, Hannah and Isabelle Boike; his mother, Marguerite Boike; his brothers, Michael Boike (Sandy), Doug Boike (Joan), Victor Boike (Delores); his sister, Rene Lukaszewski (Leonard); his many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Wrigley.
Christopher attended Hubbard High School in Chicago. He worked at the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation in IT support until 1985, when he began working at Anixter Inc. in Skokie, Illinois. Since then, he has worked for BMC, Inc., and the last ten years at Acxiom, Inc. in Downers Grove.
He loved coaching his daughter's softball team with the Berwyn Little League, and was a devout Cubs fan. Chris was a lover of music, an avid golfer, chess and cribbage player. He was faithful to his church, and a beloved member of the Berwyn community.
The family appreciates the love and support from many dear friends.
Services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 250 Woodside Road, Riverside, IL with Reverend Dennis Lauritsen officiating. Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by a ceremony at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery. 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.
Memorial gifts may be sent by mail and payable to Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 250 Woodside Road, Riverside, IL 60546. Please indicate on the check memo line to the Good Samaritan Fund, RE: Christopher Boike. The funds will assist with medical expenses incurred from Chris' treatment.

My deepest condolences to the Boike family. Chris took me under his wing when I started here 8 years ago and it was a joy to work with him. He will surely be missed. Every Cub game I'll be watching I'll know that Chris is looking down rooting for our 1st Championship in so many years. God Bless you all.

One of my alltime friends, From kindergarden , grammer school, high school, and beyond, He stood up to my wedding, We played baseball together (one of the original members of my team) for 20 or so years, been to a ton of Cub games together and generally someone I could just 'hang out' with for no particular reason.....my heart is crushed but at the same time I know that he is looking down at us from heaven and telling us that he is OK and we should be OK too because he will be there at heavens door when it is our time to enter into heaven! I love you pal!
