Barbara Eichler Obituary

Barb was a treasured colleague at DeVry....a bright and beautiful spirit who was always willing to share in ideas and laughter. So sad I did not know about the memorial service:-(

She will be greatly missed....she made a special mark on so many hearts!

Barb Eichler, gone? Really friends, Barb and I, since 1976, I find it hard, hard to comprehend that the vibrant, passionate, loving Barb is gone. She was the person in my life most alive. She gave, from abundance, joy and love. And she truly cared. Rare in life her love, and hard for me to lose.

Barb was in the NLU Doctoral Cohort with me. I remember her positive attitude and joy for all she did. She was a caring colleague. My sympathy to your family.

I was in a harp circle with Barb as well as a small harp ensemble. She was so upbeat and contagiously enthusiastic that it brightened every occasion.

Barb and I were in the same harp circle, and part of a foursome that played in nursing homes. I will remember her gentleness and warmth. Her smile was contagious.

I was also a classmate of Barb's in the doctoral program. She was a joy to be around, so thoughtful and committed to everything she did. Her memory will live in my heart forever.

I saw Barb, a dear high school friend, at our last reunion, where I learned of her accomplishments of the past 40 some years and enjoyed again her energy, enthusiasm and winning smile. I have many happy memories both of Barb and her Aurora family, Ernest, Anita, Laurel and Roger, all of whom made me feel welcome in their home. To her family and friends I send my heartfelt condolences.

Barb and I were in the same doctoral program. I remember my time with her fondly. Although we had lost touch after the program, I always remembered her energy, spirit, and enthusiasm. Every time I see a harp, I am reminded of her. May your soul rest in eternal peace, my friend.

Heartfelt condolences to the Eichler clan, extended family and friends. A member of Barb's National-Louis University "Doc 2" community, I was blessed to be her colleague and friend.

Barb was our classmate at West Aurora High School and on behalf of the class of 1960 we mourn her passing, she will be missed and remembered.

I will miss you forever my beloved Auntie GAB.

Barbara was an inspiration to all of us with her boundless optimism and good cheer. Her legacy will live on in the DeVry University community through all those she touched for so many wonderful years. We will sorely miss her.
