Armeda Kentgen Obituary

Armeda B. Kentgen, 93, of 1009 W. Ludington St., Iron Mountain died Friday, May 9, 2008 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. She was born July 1, 1914 in Iron Mountain and was the daughter of the late Basilio and Alice (Toffanetti) Paoli. She was raised in Iron Mountain and resided in Elmhurst Illinois for 36 returning to this area in 1969. Armeda married Arthur Kentgen on June 25, 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1977. Armeda was a cook for the hot lunch program at the Iron Mountain schools for many years. She is survived by her sons, David (Donna) Kentgen of Burnsville, Minnesota and Arthur (Kay) Kentgen of Elkhart, Indiana. Five grandchildren, Teresa (John) Schader, Michelle (Fred) Schaefer, Lisa Kentgen, Laura (Paul) Osowski and Michael (Jamie) Kentgen. Seven great grandchildren, Alyssa, Nathan, Jessica, Joshua, Noah, Kirstain and Michael. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary and St. Joseph church in Iron Mountain. Fr. Daniel Moll will offer the Mass of the Christian burial Burial will be in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her memory to the Dickinson County Cancer Unit and Heifer International.
