Angel Lugay Obituary

Dr Lugay will always be remember by my family. We still talk about what a wonderful doctor he was and how much he helped us in caring for our children. He may not walk this earth but he is most certainly alive and very well in the presence of God. Thank you again Dr. Lugay.

You´re thought of and talked about often. Can´t believe it´s already been 5 years. :(

I just learned of Dr. Lugay's passing today. He was my oldest daughters pediatrician when she was born nearly 24 years ago. He continued to be our family pediatrician for many years to come as I had 3 more daughters. My children and I are very saddened by this news.

Dr. Lugay was my doctor when I was a little girl at the Macneal building at Harlem and Ogden. I'm very sorry to hear he passed. What a nice man, I do have some memories of him and him being so nice. My mom liked him a lot too. This was about 40 years ago. Thoughts are with his family

I cant belive that it has been one year since Dr. Lugay died.I will never forget him ever.He was an amazing Doc.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just heard of this today. I worked in the Lyons Health Department with Dr. Lugay, and he took care of my daughter as well. He was a great doctor and leader in the community. He was always proud of his son and spoke highly of his work. Please excuse my tardiness with this note. To the Lugay family

I am very sorry for your loss. Dr. Lugay was my doctor from 1972 when Dr. Mack moved on. There were plenty of times that he would not charge for his services and be there to help, or come to your house if you were unable to make it in with your child. He was truly a doctor that cared and went out of his way to help. When my children were born he was the first to see them and continued to see them until we moved out of state. The hardest thing to do was to not see him. I just found out that he had passed this month. We would have made the trip to pay our respects to him. Very sorry I missed the mass.

ANGEL WAS A GREAT MEDICAL FIRECTOR FOR THE BERWYN HEALTH DEPT. HE HELPED PUT IN NEW PROGRAMS I.E. JUVENILE DIABETES TESTING THAT BENEFITTED FAMILIES. I'M SORRY I WAS UNABLE TO ATTEND AS MY LEG WAS RECENTLY AMPUTATED..I JUST TALKED TO ANGEL AND HE BRIEFED ME ON SOME UPCOMING EXPECTATIONS I WOULD BE EXPERIENCING. I MISS YOU ANGEL.

Angel was such a wonderful person with a kind and generous heart. I remember one Sunday on a cold January morning one of our homeless shelter guests didn't have a coat, and Angel took the coat off his back and gave it to this man. He did it quietly as not to draw attention because that was the type of person that Angel was. He had a positive outlook on life, was a joy to be around, and always found the good in everything and everyone. He will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his beautiful family.

I extend my deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. Lugay. He was a very special person and I considered him a friend. He took very good care of my children, and we loved that he made us laugh and feel like we were special. My youngest is now 38 years old and has children of her own, but she was very sad to hear of Doc's passing.
We will never forget him and will miss him.

So very sorry to hear this news about your Dad. He was an exceptional, compassionate, and special man! It was a long time ago, but I remember my Mom describing your Dad this way. "When you meet Angel, he instantly gets a place in your heart". And I have to say that my Mom was 100% right. Your Dad made everyone feel so special. He was so full of life and love. We will all miss him terribly.

Dr Lugay was a tremendous blessing to our family and helped our 3 children in so many ways from infants until they were too old to see him anymore. We will always be thankful and grateful for his life. God bless and keep his family strong and comforted.
