Amine Carleen Obituary

Amine "Mimi" E. Carleen, nee Hoff, of Wheaton, IL went to heaven peacefully and beautifully on May 15. She was the beloved wife of Phil Carleen, loving mother to Kim (Brian) Isenhart, endearing grandmother to Jack and Benjamin Isenhart, sweet sister to Justine Hoff, and precious friend to many loving and loyal relatives and friends who enriched her life. Mimi was born Amine Elise Hoff on June 2 and grew up in LaGrange, IL. She earned a bachelor's degree from the State University of Iowa, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and a leader of Kappa Alpha Theta. Mimi married Philip Carleen on May 15, 1965. She believed in staying active and had many interests: bridge, golf, tennis, serving in her church as a Deacon, Elder, Service Organization, and Beacon Circle; P.E.O., gardening, traveling, enjoying her family, and playing with her grandsons. Visitation Friday May 28th, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. (1 blk. E. of Naperville Rd.) Wheaton. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 29th at First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, 550 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn. Inurnment will be held in Boone, IA at a later date. The family asks if you would like to write and bring any thoughts or memories of Mimi, we will compile them into a keepsake book. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the P.E.O. Foundation, Executive Office, 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312( On behalf of Chapter KY, Glen Ellyn, IL) or www.peointernational.org or to the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, which will be appreciated.
