Born: March 13, 1922
Died: December 1, 2021
Albert George Nisius of Downers Grove passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the age of 99. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife (Norma) who passed away May 8, 2016. They shared 69 years of marriage. They had three children: Sharon, Linda, and Peter (passed away January 31, 2017). He is survived by his two daughters, one grandson (Colin), and two great-granddaughters (Grace and Elsie). He was born in Chicago on March 13, 1922 to Mary and Albert Joseph Nisius. He served in the Army for three years from 1943-1946, and afterwards graduated with an MBA from the University of Chicago. He was employed by the University of Chicago at Argonne National Laboratory until age 80 as an accountant, a payroll supervisor, then assistant business manager, and finally assistant comptroller. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and was a hobbyist car mechanic. Arrangements by Toon Funeral Home, Downers Grove 630-968-0408.
