Wilma (Polly) Funchess Hadley passed away on May 2, 2015. She was born on February 17, 1918, in Mobile, AL. Her parents were William Walton Funchess and Mable Ann Middleton Funchess. Her siblings were William W. Funchess and James D. Funchess. She graduated from Murphy High School and Daphne Normal School. She taught school in Mobile, Baldwin and Tuscaloosa Counties.
On February 13, 1936, she married William Moore Hadley. They had three children, Carol Joan Hadley, Rita H. McNair, deceased, husband Donald W. McNair, deceased; John W. Hadley and spouse Barbara Wabel Hadley. Grandchildren, Gary R. ( Elizabeth) McNair, Amy McNair (Michael) Wheaton, Scott C. (Stacy) McNair; great grandchildren, April (Cory) Brockett , Samantha E. McNair, Gabrielle McNair, Taylor A. Wheaton and Kelsey McNair; great great grandchildren, Harleigh R. Brockett and Jude M. Brockett; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service. Interment will follow at Wynn Cemetery.
