William Zaya Obituary

William "Bill" Zaya, age 75, of Downers Grove, died December at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, Illinois. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7 from 1 to 3 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard. Funeral Service Private. Mr. Zaya is survived by three sisters, Julia Faber of Galena, Lydia Zaya of Galena, and Mary Barnes of Lombard; three nephews, Edward of Lombard, Patrick of Stoughton, Wisconsin, and Timothy (Caren) Barnes of Millington, Illinois; and great-niece and nephew, Chaeli and Brayden. Mr. Zaya is preceded in death by his parents, David and Shalim Zaya. Mr. Zaya was a resident of Downers Grove since 1979 and was formerly of Lombard. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Zaya grew-up in Lombard and attended Westmore and Ardmore schools as well as York High School. He was a 1954 graduate of DeVry Institute. Mr. Zaya was a self-taught computer repairman. He had retired from General Electric after over 30 years. Mr. Zaya was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Lombard.
