William Hoskins Obituary

William Davidson Hoskins, 82, a lifelong resident of LaGrange, passed away March 10, 2008 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital. William was born August 26, 1925 in Chicago, IL. He retired from Rose Packing where he worked as an Industrail Engineer for 10 plus years. Before then, William worked for 30 plus years with Victor-Dana Corporation. He enjoyed reading, golfing and playing the piano. William was also a fine artist. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Mass 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. Cletus Church, LaGrange, IL following 9:30a.m prayers at the funeral home. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. William is survived by his wife Celine D. nee Dalzell; children Peter Hoskins and Sarah "Sally" (William) Carrano; grandchildren Alexandra and Anthony Carrano and the late Grant Hoskins and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements by Hallowell & James Funeral Home, (708) 352-6500.

I am sorry to read of Bill's passing. He was great to me when I was a kid growing up on Brainard and walking the family standard poodle. We often joked about his '55 salmon and grey chevy. You are in my prayers.
