Someday in Heaven I'm eager to meet the "lucky" woman who captured Bill's heart. Bill was my boyfriend for several years when we were teenagers in High School. I gave him a leather covered King James Bible. He was very much like the wonderful man that I eventually married, whom Bill met while I was a freshman at the University of Iowa. When Bill came home from service (during W.W.II) he met Doug to whom I was just engaged. Doug's and my wedding book was given to me by Donna Marie. But Bill will always have a special place in my heart.

Dear Betty and family, You are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. I remember looking forward to seeing you and and your family when you came to visit Leona and Gifford. I have such good childhood memories of growing up on the farm. Take care. Love, Christie Counsell-Radechel Carlisle,IA

Dear Betty and Family,
My favorite memory with Bill was his annual soup dinner at his house, as part of the Y's Men Christmas fund raiser selling trees during the 60's and 70's. This was typical of his spirit of reaching out to others, and provided lots of bonding among the club members. No one was kinder, more friendly, considerate, or harder working than Bill. He was a treasure and will be missed by all.

Dear Betty and Family;
Bill was one of my all time favorite people. He brought me into the Y's men when we first met on the Cock Robin Christmas tree lot back in the sixties.
Bill was so kind and considerate. It was always such a pleasure, just to spend time with him.
God bless you and your family in your bereavement.

I am very sorry to learn of Mr. Brown's death. As a former Cossitteer, LT Lion and the daughter of Mary and Hank Hohe, his teaching colleges at Cossitt and LT, Bill Brown was a part of my growing up. He was a wonderful considerate man who dedicated his life to teaching. The world will miss his presence. I hope the knowledge that he will live on through the countless lives he touched will comfort his family who I'm sure will miss him greatly. They are in my thought and prayers, Sara Hohe
