Wayne S. Lueck, born July 27, 1952 in Berwyn, Illinois passed away on May 2, 2024 at Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital in Glendale, Arizona at the age of 71. Wayne is preceded in death by his loving parents, Erwin and Elizabeth "Honey" Lueck. Wayne is survived by his wife, Sandra, children, Christopher (Megan) Lueck and Jennifer (Jack) Delaporte, grandchildren, Jack Wayne, Jayden and Erwin and brother, William.
Words cannot express what a dynamic, unique and amazingly loving man he was. Wayne spent more than 50 years of his life married to his best friend and loving wife, Sandra. He was the very best Papa, amazing Dad, trusted friend, and loving husband. Like his mother before him, he never turned down the opportunity to turn a stranger into a friend. Spending his entire professional life in sales and sales management, he often joked the only things he never sold were women, drugs and used cars. He loved fishing with his grandsons and teaching them the intricacies of life, that only a wise old Papa can. As an extension of his boisterous personality, Wayne enjoyed a lifelong legacy of exploring unique hobbies including collecting cars and drag racing his 1965 Ford Falcon, competitive bowling and coaching, woodworking with his son, and always trying to find ways to press the bet and parley to a bigger win in life. He was an entrepreneur, published author and often presented marketing best practices to small businesses throughout the Phoenix West Valley as a member of numerous local networking organizations.
A private luncheon will be held in celebration of Wayne's life on June 22nd in Arizona. Wayne will be laid to rest in Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, Illinois and the family will host a public gravesite memorial and celebration in late Summer with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ronald McDonald House can be made in Wayne's honor.
Wayne made this world a brighter place to all who encountered him, and this world will forever be changed in his absence. Best Buddies for Life and Beyond, Papa.
