Vietnam Veteran, Marine Corp., Purple Heart Recipient and 45 years as a Journeyman with the Plumbers Union.
Devoted husband of Margaret A. Smieszkal, nee Schumpp; loving father of Phillip (Nancy), James (Paula) and Allen (Sheila) Smieszkal; cherished grandfather of Madelyn; dear brother of Jeanette Shaffer; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM and Thursday, May 22nd from 9:30AM until time of Service at 10:30AM, at Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St. (1 blk. S. of Ogden Ave.) Downers Grove. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Can't even share all the stories of Uncle Wally! The frog I think is my all time favorite!! Never knew Wally was so spunky, but hey he caught the run away frog!! You will be missed!!
