Wallace B. Kurtz was born on March 9, 1927, in New York City. He passed away on December 10, 2015, in Lisle.
He is the beloved husband of the late Jeanne E. Kurtz (December 30, 1928 to November 22, 2014). Loving father of Susan K. Behnke, Kenneth B. Kurtz, and Richard A. Kurtz. Fond Grandfather of Kristy, Stephanie, Angie, Jackie, and Nikki.
Wally and Jeanne moved to Downers Grove in 1957 when Western Electric transferred Wally to the Chicago area. They joined St. Paul's United Church of Christ and enjoyed over 50 years of fellowship and service there. Wally was active in boy scouting for over 50 years while working with Boy Scout Troop 57 and Venture Crew 57 which specializes in model railroading. Wally and Jeanne were married for over 65 years.
Family and friends to gather Sunday, January 17, 2016, for 1PM Memorial Service at St. Pauls United Church of Christ in Downers Grove.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Pauls United Church of Christ would be appreciated.

Sad to hear of his passing, I remember going to his house to see all his trains when he fixed circuit boards for me. He was such a talented and nice man.

I will miss Wally he was a great friend and fellow scouter. There are a great many scouts that he helped along their trail. As a Church member he was always willing to help and contribute his talents to make the Church a better place for all members.
