Virginia Hill Obituary

Virginia "Jenny" Dotson Hill WISE, Va. Virginia "Jenny" Dotson Hill, 77, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010, at her home from complications related to cancer. She was a former LPN and then an RN, was a member of the Wise Garden Club, Pro Art and, prior to becoming confined to home, she was a member of the Wise Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Napoleon and Virginia Greaver Dotson; a sister, Sara Vasvary; and her husbands, Tom Hill and Roger Shea. Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Frazier of Knoxville, Tenn., and Lee Hill of Knoxville; a son, Joseph Dotson "J.D." Frazier and wife Julie of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Jessica Katherine Frazier, Joseph Shea Hill and Elizabeth Kerani Frazier; a step-daughter, Kenna Shea Schultz and husband Donald of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Martha Armstrong of Newport News, Va.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Virginia Dotson Hill will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at the Wise Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon till time of services at 2 p.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph Shea Hill College Fund, c/o Bank of America, 2597 George Busbee Parkway, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Sturgill Funeral Home, 1621 Norton Road, SW, Wise, VA 24293, is in charge of arrangements.
