Vern Huffman Obituary

Vern L. Huffman

Vern L. Huffman, 80, passed away February 17, 2003 at Warm Beach Senior Community in Stanwood, WA.
He was born July 4, 1922 in Wenatchee, the son of Charles and Nora Huffman. He earned degrees from McPherson College, Central Washington State College and the University of Washington and enjoyed a career as a public school administrator in several western Washington school districts. Vern was known for his dedication to children and his work as well as his character and strong sense of humor. He was always happy to share a good story or joke. Vern enjoyed woodworking, travel to Hawaii and was devoted to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Evelyn; his sister Lucille Benson of Manchester Indiana; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Jean Huffman of Kent WA.; daughter Connie Andrews of Anacortes WA; daughter and son-in-law Cherry and John Sinema of Anacortes WA; son John Huffman of LaConner WA; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Nan Huffman of Snohomish WA; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Memorial services to be held on Sunday, February 23rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Beachwood Lounge at the Warm Beach Senior Community, 20420 Marine Drive, Stanwood WA.
The family requests that remembrances be directed to the American Heart Association or the Warm Beach Senior Community.
