TIMOTHY R. ROBB, 84, United States Army Veteran, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025 in Battle Ground, Indiana. Until 2024, Tim lived his entire life in Countryside and Willow Springs, Illinois. Born on April 16, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Lenore (nee Long) and Randolph Robb, Timothy fondly known as Tim, lived an extraordinary life filled with love, adventure and the simple pleasures that he so cherished.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara, his nurturing mother Lenore, his father Randolph and his brother Larry Robb, with whom he shared many memorable moments.
He is survived by his loving children, Shelly Bjornsen (Mike Marpoe, companion) and Timothy (Lisa) Robb. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren Blake (Catie) Bjornsen, Dillon (Alexa) Bjornsen, Timothy Robb and Kylie Robb, as well as his cherished great granddaughters, Cora and Zoey, his sister-in-law Judi Robb, nieces Tracy Curico and Chris Schackmuth.
A proud graduate of Lyons Township High School, Tim was a dedicated member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 for an impressive 65 years. He was a hardworking man who loved to share his wisdom with others, always ready to tell a good story.
In his leisure time, Tim was an avid fisherman, a hobby that brought him great joy and serenity. After his retirement, he found a new passion in growing orchids, demonstrating his gentle touch and patience, and became quite adept at this intricate art.
He loved spending winters in Marathon, Florida, a place where he found warmth not just in the climate, but in the people and the community. His presence there, as in all aspects of his life, was marked by his kindness, his generosity and his wonderful sense of humor.
Tim's life was a testament to his strength and resilience and he will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his zest for life. His stories will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us all.
