Timothy Ognisty Obituary

Timothy Michael Ognisty, 58, passed away on September 1st in his home in Bay Shore, New York from a heart attack.

He leaves behind his two sons who were the joy of his life, Samuel J. Ognisty (Jenna) of Boston, MA, and John T. Ognisty of Baltimore, MD. In addition, survivors include his mother and stepfather Susan and Bill Montgomery of Dallas, TX, his siblings Kim and Brian Ognisty of Mammoth Lakes, CA, Monty (Paige), Porter (Genny), and Baker Montgomery, and his faithful dog Pepper.

Tim was born July 22nd,1966 in Redondo Beach, CA. He spent most of his life in New York, attending Riverdale Country Day School, Vassar College, and CCNY for his master's in education.

After a full life in finance, teaching, and entrepreneurship, Tim moved to Bay Shore, Long Island where he continued his work in investing. He was a devoted boat captain on the "Granny Kay", enjoyer of nature, reader, writer, and musician.

A true renaissance man with a gifted intelligence, he never lost his curiosity in all things and people. He will be missed by many.

Services for his committal and memorial were held privately at Moloney's Lake Funeral Home and Cremation Center,132 Ronkonkoma Ave, Lake Ronkonkoma, NY.
