I just heard about Rowels. I remember when I was a rising sophomore in high school, Tom had graduated. Every day, he would come to Willowbrook and play me one on one. He was a great mentor.
After his accident, I would see him from time to time, and then lost track of him.
I am very sorry to hear he has passed. I am sure he is up in heaven, telling stories with Orv.

Everyone,
There was a time when I was closer to Tom than I was to my own brothers. It was during those coming of age years, when you are heavily influenced by those you spend the most time with.I will remember Tom for his intelligence and quick wit, as a loyal friend, as a gifted athelete, and as a fierce competitor. I personally benefited by just trying to keep up with Tom.

Aunt Sheila, Uncle Neil, and Granndpa Neil,
Lets try to remember the happy memories and how much joy we all brought to Toms life. It seems like yesterday that he came on the train to Hollywood Casino when I worked there and was happy as a clam to get a free ticket to have lunch and go on the boat and gamble like a big shot!
My girls and I considered Tom family and will miss seeing him on Holidays, it wont be the same.
Maybe the Cubs will win the world series with Tom as their guardian angel and biggest fan!!!!

Mom and Neil,
I pray that Tom is at peace with a new life, the illnesses are gone, and the debilitating scars are healed. Selfishly, I want him here on earth so we can try again to make him better. I am at peace knowing that we did all we could to make Tom's life as comfortable as possible.
Love, Sarah
