Thomas Hurst Obituary

Thomas Andrew Hurst. February 22, 2012 was a joyful day for Tom Hurst. Tom is now home in Heaven. Tom was first and foremost a Man of God. Tom served his country and community. He served in the Marine Corps during WWII, the Korean War and in the ceremonial honor guard in Washington, D.C. Tom was a member of Kiwanis for over 50 years, and the American Legion Robert E. Coulter Post #1941. He was a Podiatrist in LaGrange. Tom loved his family and he was a dedicated family man. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bonnie. Tom is survived by his children, Kathy (Mike) Littlefield, Mike (Jayne), Kim (Rick) Picone, John (Deb), his foster son, Greg (Brenda) Behnke; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister Barbara Banderob. Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers 9:15 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the funeral home to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, LaGrange, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
