Thomas Hopkins Obituary

Thomas James Hopkins II
Born: January 25, 1961
Died: May 11, 2025 in Crossville, TN
Thomas James Hopkins II, aged 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Crossville, TN, Sunday, May 11, 2025.
Tom, aka "Chicken Hawk", aka "Hoppy" proudly served in the US Army, as (PFC) U.S. "ARMY", "101st Airborne Division", was a loving son, big brother and friend to many. A native of Downers Grove, IL, he was a true Chicago Cubs & Bears fan and loved golfing. Tom's sense of humor was his love language. Tom held his commercial truck driver's license, was a highly skilled carpenter & general contractor that could fix or build almost anything, was the kind of guy that would help folks in need without being asked and loved tinkering & inventing with his mom on projects around the family home in TN.
He is survived by his mother Patricia Hopkins, sister Debra Hopkins-Pavao & husband Joe Pavao, brother Timothy Hopkins, retired Navy Hull Technician First Class (Surface Warfare) and wife Susan Hoffman-Hopkins, nieces Katelyn Pavao, Angelina Pavao, Alexandra Hopkins and nephew David Hopkins, great nephews Paul Justice; U.S. Army Specialist E-4, Matthew Justice, Devin Doyle and great niece Meredith Scholari. He is predeceased by his father Thomas James Hopkins; U.S. Marine, sister Edith (Edie) Hopkins-Ruberti and niece Patricia Doyle.
