Theresa Murray Obituary

Theresa Murray, age 99, of Oak Brook, formerly of LaGrange Park, born October 17, 1908 in Melrose Park,IL, passed away August 14, 2008. Theresa was a remarkable woman in her own time. Widowed at 27, she raised two boys and ran her own business, Congress Park Liquors, for over 30 years. In addition she managed C. Foster Toys until her retirement. She was a wonderful grandmother who loved to babysit for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Theresa was an avid walker and a master at scrabble and crossword puzzles, and was a true Cubs fan for over 70 years. She was truly an inspiration and will be greatly missed by all. Wife of the late William. Mother of the late William (Dolly) Murray and the late Robert (Patricia) Murray. Grandmother of William, David, James, Bridgett, Mary, Kathleen and Sean. Sister of Julius DelMonte. Great grandmother of 10. Visitation Monday, August 18, 3:00-9:00pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W 55th St, Countryside, IL.
