News Death Notice

ASHBAUGH, Susan E. 67, of Springfield, died Monday May 14, 2012 in her residence. She was born September 3, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Lawrence and Kathryn (Armstrong) Mosier. Susan was a devoted wife, mom and grandmother. She loved her husband Robert, he was the love of her life and she was his. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. She lived her life through her family and was definitely the rock of the family. She was strong and believed family was first. She welcomed many people into her life and never judged anyone. She loved her flowers and her beloved dog Bubba. She loved to cook big meals for the family gatherings. Survivors include four children; Larry and Susan Ashbaugh of Springfield; Greg Ashbaugh and fiancé Brenda Heinzen of Springfield; Brad Ashbaugh of South Vienna; Jennifer DeSalle of Springfield; eleven grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Elizabeth, Katie, Robbie, Kayla, Ryan, Rachel, Ty, Sandra and Ashley; three great-grandchildren, Brendon, Brianna and Adrianna; mother, Kathryn Mosier of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years Robert N. Ashbaugh, father Lawrence Mosier and brother Michael Mosier. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clark County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
