Stella Marciniak Obituary

Stella Marciniak, 84, a resident of Brookfield since 1965, passed away November 29, 2009 at her daughters home in Burr Ridge. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2009 from 9:30am til prayer service at 11:00am at Johnson Funeral Home, 3847 Prairie Avenue, Brookfield with Funeral Services at 11:30am on Wednesday. December 2, 2009 at St. Barbara Church, 4008 Prairie Avenue in Brookfield. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. Stella was employed as an Assembly Machine Operator with Western Electric, where she had 15 plus years of service, before retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Barbara's Senior Club and enjoyed gardening and being with her grandchildren and her great-grandchild. Stella is survived by her son, Heneryk (Hsiyen) Marciniak; daughter, Sophie (William) Scurek; sister, Wladyslawa Ziarrowska; brother, Jan Szelag; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, M/Sgt. Lester Marciniak, who passed away June 23, 2003 and her husband, the late Marian Marciniak, who passed away November 23, 1990.
