Stacy L. Wrobel Born: May 28, 1977; In Berwyn, IL Died: March 30, 2014; In Downers Grove, IL Stacy L. Wrobel, age 36, of Downers Grove, IL formerly of Sandwich, IL and Brookfield, IL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was born on May 28, 1977 in Berwyn, IL the daughter of Robert and Wendy (Harding) Wrobel. Stacy was an active member of the Millbrook United Methodist Church in Millbrook, IL. She obtained both her bachelor's degree and master's degree from Eastern Illinois University. Stacy was a kind and caring person who loved children, especially babies and was employed as a teacher by KinderCare in North Aurora, IL. Stacy enjoyed riding motorcycles with her family and friends and was a certified motorcycle safety instructor. She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and cousin who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Wendy Wrobel of Sandwich, IL; her paternal grandmother, Ann Wrobel of Escondido, CA; her aunt, Phyllis Gerrib; her uncle, Scott Harding; as well as several cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Scott and Vi Harding; paternal grandfather, Chester Wrobel; her brother, Chris Wrobel, in 1999; and her cousin, Robbie Gerrib. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory, 1275 S. Countyline Rd., Sandwich, IL with Pastor Kent Svendsen officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may visit from 11:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory in Sandwich, IL. Memorials in loving memory may be directed to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, www.childrensmiraclenetwork hospital.org or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, www.jdrg.org. Miss Stacy was my son's favorite teacher. I personally felt very comfortable to leave my son with her. She was a great teacher and more than that a great person.
