Shirley Bowles Obituary

SHERMAN - A visitation will be held for Shirley Ann Bowles from 6 -8 p.m. Monday Nov 25, at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday Nov 26 at Trinity Baptist Church in Sherman. Jason Anderson will be officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.

Mrs. Bowles passed away Thursday Nov 22, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Shirley was born April 3, 1946 in Deport. She was married to Lee Bowles on April 23, 1962 in Sherman. Shirley will be remembered by her family as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who showed her love by caring for those around her. She worked as a freelance writer and enjoyed gardening, reading, as well as caring for her animals.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Bowles of Sherman; daughter, Laura LeAnn Anderson and husband Chad; sons, Daniel Lee Bowles and wife Teresa, Dennes Lee Bowles and wife Shannon, and 13 grandchildren. Shirley was preceded by two sons, David Glenn Bowles and Michael Lee Bowles; her mother, Minnie (Gladys) Hutchings- Glover, and one brother, Wayne Glover.
