Family-Placed Obituary

CARPENTER, Sharon Kay 60, of Tipp City, Ohio, a former Portsmouth resident, died Monday, December 3, 2007 in Tipp City. Sharon was born May 17, 1947 in Portsmouth to the late Roger Vintson and Cleo Kitchen Bostick. She worked at Southern Ohio Medical Center for over 20 years as a Nurse's Aide and Manager of Home Care and was a member of Central Church of Christ. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Carpenter, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Charles A. "Bubba" Carpenter III (wife, Della Carpenter) of Sidney and Terry Howell of Tipp City; six daughters, Angela Dawn Howell of Tipp City, Aimee Lorraine Carpenter (husband, A.J. Schloman) of Columbus, Karrie Parrett of Tipp City, Kira Howell of Tipp City, Kelli Hogue of Tipp City and Tresser Hogue of Tipp City; four brothers Harold Gibson of Forrest Heights, Larry Bostick of Troy, Daniel Bostick of Portsmouth, and Reverend Shannon DeHart of Troy; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, seven grandchildren, Spencer and Eden Howell, Aubreyahna Schlomann, Andrew Schlomann, Tempest Carpenter, Oren and Lily Gondal; and five furry puppies. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Dennis Dawes officiating and interment in Sunset Gardens. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Condolences maybe sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com

I wish I could've met her. She was my grandma. I was supposed to be her final grandkid before she passed, but I was 8 months too late. I heard she was a good person, and wish I could travel back in time to meet her.
