Scott D. Bromann
Scott D. Bromann of Glen Ellyn, IL passed away at the age of 69 on September 6th, 2021.
He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Gloria Bromann and his brother Craig Bromann. Scott attended Ben Franklin Elementary School, Hadley Jr. High School, and Glenbard West High School (1970) where he was active on the baseball, basketball, and football teams. He then attended Southern Methodist University and proceeded to obtain a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. He married his high school classmate Carlyn Bromann (nee Zumbrook) and had 3 daughters whom he lovingly raised in his hometown.
Scott continued to play basketball and softball as an adult, and he coached his girls' softball teams for many years.
He was a regular at Faith Lutheran Church, where he served in a number of roles including council president, Sunday school teacher, confirmation leader, and usher. As a sustaining member of the DuPage County Bar Association, Scott will be remembered not only as a professional but as a friend.
What Scott enjoyed most was walking to Lake Ellyn to catch a Glenbard West football game, reading the newspaper, going to the dog park with his dog Holly, and making his grandkids laugh. He greatly valued his longstanding relationships with his friends, family, and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife Carlyn, daughters Katrina Bromann (Art Riewaldt), Gretchen Maynard (Brian), and Sonja Bromann; four grandkids; and his brothers Mark Bromann and Dean Bromann.

I am so sad to read of Scott´s passing. He was such a wonderful man and attorney. I can´t imagine how I would have survived my real estate closings without him. He was such a great role model for everyone who had the good fortune to know him!

Scott I will miss you I don't think I'll ever find another attorney for my closings that made me feel as comfortable as you did. I'll never forget my second closing which I forgot about and overslept for. By the time I woke up and saw the messages on my phone the closing was about through I called you right away as soon as I could and you kept me totally calm you handled the whole closing except for signing my name in 10 places Maybe. And the last few deals with covid you made it so easy I'll never forget it didn't even have to show up for closing and I didn't even wonder if things were going to go right I knew they would cuz you were handling it. I am going to continue doing business with your office I forget your partner's name but I see no reason to go anywhere else it was a pleasure knowing you

Could not have had a better roommate at SMU than Scott Bromann. Was memorable for his collection of musical LP's, competitive basketball game, and easy going good humor. I believe the tribute to his character is the sense of loss I feel and we had not spoken in decades. My regards to his family and friends who hold my thoughts at this time.
