Mark Hansen Obituary

Mark Robert Hansen

Mark Robert Hansen was born August 3, 1951 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Mark lost his battle with Liver Disease and went to sleep on December 5, 2012 in Richland, Washington.
Mark attended schools in the Snohomish County area. Mark was the oldest of four children. Mark had such a love for life. He loved building Harley Davidsons in his younger years.
Mark found his true passion in life, which was cooking. He worked as a sous chef for most of his life, working at such places as Everett Yacht Club, LaConner Lighthouse, Klondike Kate's, Pattie's Egg Nest, and Angels of the Wind Casino. Mark also had a talent for making cakes including his nieces' wedding cake. Mark also loved the outdoors and spending a lot of time fishing. He loved camping and being in the outdoors sitting by a campfire. Mark loved family gatherings and he loved teasing the younger generation doing such things as taking them "snipe" hunting. Mark was always looking for ways to play jokes and pranks on others. He loved going out dancing. Mark was on several dart leagues and won many trophies.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Jeanette Hansen; son, Mark Hansen Jr; brother, Craig Hansen; sister, Johnny Hansen; grandson, Gunnar Hansen, four nieces; Sabre, Sharona, Elisha and Brittany; two nephews, Andy and James; along with a great-nephew, Geoffrey; and great-niece, Anika; and best friend, Linda Brown.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Hansen; mother, Doris Hansen; and younger brother, Skip Hansen.
At Mark's request, there will be a celebration of life barbeque sometime in the late spring.

Mark you and I were so close I feel as though a part of me has died with you. I will always treasure the times that we shared good and bad. We always seemed to respect each other and were always able to talk about anything. I will forever love you and a place in my heart cannot never be filled with anyone else. See you soon my brother, one sweet day!! I love you and miss you more than anything!
