I didn't know Sam very well, but he always smiled and said "Hello" when I saw him. I have been hearing a lot of nice stories about him lately. My prayers and thoughts are with Sam's family.

Mr. Sam, as I respectfully referred to him will always remain in my thoughts. His kindness, his laughter and his artistic talents will linger with HUD and many others for eternity. Alex Haley once said "Find the Good and Praise it". Mr. Sam was one of the Good Ones. My sympathy goes out to the Litvaney family. The Whitelocks

Sam was an early riser and was usually the first one in the office. So in the winter in the worst weather conditions, Sam was usually the one who turned the lights on and made the office a bright place to begin your day.

Sam was a good friend that I will remember for ever. I will miss him.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Sam's passing. He was such a nice man to work with. He was always smiling and thoughtful. I remember all the road trips Sam took us on and he taught me how to inspect a building and what to look for. We had wonderful lunches out and he even remembered where my sister worked and took me out to lunch there since I hadn't seen her in a long time. Sam will be truly missed!!
