Salome "Sally" F. Markiewicz (nee Gryboske), age 96, lifelong resident of Lemont, passed away December 3, 2012. Owned and operated Markiewicz Funeral Home until 1975. Member of the SS. Cyril & Methodius Church Altar & Rosary Society for over 50 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Victor A. Markiewicz; her son, Victor R. Markiewicz; and her son-in-law, Dennis Marzec. Survived by her daughter, Beverly Marzec; two daughters-in-law, Jan and Connie Markiewicz; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Fiancee Lidia) and Meredith Marzec, Matthew (Jill) and Lauren Markiewicz and Brian (Heather) Bury; three great-grandchildren, Henry, Christopher and Elizabeth; three siblings, Harry (Marge) Grabo, Bette (late Jack) Fash and Regina (late Bill) Baumgartner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services Friday, December 7, 2012, 9:30 a.m. from Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C., 108 Illinois St. Lemont, to SS. Cyril and Methodius Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment SS.
