Rudolph Perisich Obituary

Rudolph Perisich, 85, of Countryside, passed away October 9, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Bonnie Lee Perisich. Loving father of Janet (Steve) Pav, Lisa Stolte, Tony (Suzanne), Donna (Sam) Musillami, Tom Pokergac, Nick (Gloria) Pokergac. Dearest grandfather of Jennifer (Jim) Kopera, Steven, Katie, Abigail and Jack. Great grandfather of Kyle and Alexa. Dear brother of Vi Settacase, John Parish, and the late Mary Perisich and Ann Mance. Fond uncle and friend to many. Rudy graduated from Lyons Township High School in 1941 and joined the Navy that same year. He is a World War II veteran serving active duty and reserves totaling 38 years. He was also in the carpenters union for 40 years. Not only was he a skilled tradesman, he was the Financial Secretary of Local 1128 for 10 years, elected business representative for 6 years, Delegate to the Chicago District of Carpenters and Building Trades Council for 16 years. He was appointed Representative of the General President, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Jointers of America, Washington DC for 10 years. He was the original City Clerk and Aldermen of the City of Countryside Illinois as well as Chairman of many committees for 18 years. Rudy was a member of the American Legion LaGrange Coulter Post 1941 and Countryside Lions Club. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and swimming. A Memorial celebration will be held at St. Cletus Parish, 600 W. 55th Street, LaGrange at 11:15am on Thursday, November 5, 2009. Omit flowers.
